Delegated act expected
Textiles & Apparel
Delegated act expected 2027
Clothing and footwear are one of the six product groups named in the first ESPR Working Plan, aimed squarely at fast-fashion waste, poor garment durability and the difficulty of recycling blended fibres.
What a textiles & apparel passport is expected to cover
- Fibre composition and percentage of recycled content
- Durability data: wash-cycle resistance, colourfastness, seam strength
- Reparability: spare-part availability and repair instructions
- Microplastic-shedding information
- Chemical and substance-of-concern disclosure
- Care instructions and take-back or resale routes at end of life
Where it stands
A delegated act for textiles and apparel is expected in 2027, following the intermediate-material categories. See the full rollout timeline →
